LSV Predictor: 25

Another gameweek, another attempt of getting my predictions right.. Paul Merson, I am coming for you..

ARSENAL v HULL CITY

What’s happening at the Emirates? Two defeats in one week, again… The Gunners were awful at Stamford Bridge, and Wenger has decided to create havoc with his latest statements (you wish you were Spurs…). Hull are in great form, two clean sheets and 4 points against Man United and Liverpool.. I can see a tight game, with Arsenal edging it..

1-0

MANCHESTER UNITED v WATFORD

The Red Devils did not have any issue against struggling Leicester.. Watford had a great first half against Burnley with the spare man, but they almost let Burnley come back at them… No chance in this game.

3-0

MIDDLESBROUGH v EVERTON

Boro are a tough team to beat.. They are in the relegation battle simply because they don’t score enough. They made it really tough for Spurs at the weekend. Everton are flying with confidence and are chasing the train for Europe.. Surely Liverpool is in their sight. Not many goals for me, tough to call, I’d say Everton.

0-1

STOKE CITY v CRYSTAL PALACE

Majority of people may think this is a walk in the park for Stoke City. Palace had one of their worst performances in recent years, letting Sunderland score 4 in 45′ (!!!). Stoke themselves had a poor game at the Hawthorns, but it is not too much of a concern for Mark Hughes, considering their league position. I never trust teams in the relegation fight. You think they are struggling, and then they come up with the games who change their season. I don’t think this will be as such for Palace, but I don’t see them going back without anything.

2-2

SUNDERLAND v SOUTHAMPTON

Southampton are really a strange beast, they are a roller coaster of a team. They play great, get to the cup final winning at Anfield, and then they lose to West Ham at home without fighting too much. Sunderland would like to exploit the great result at Selhurst Park and start a good run. But I still think they depend too much on Jermain Defoe. I am not sure about this game, I just think in the random season Southampton are having, it’s now time for a win.

1-2

WEST HAM v WEST BROMWICH ALBION

Andy Carroll is on fire, and that is already a goal in the bag. West Ham don’t defend greatly. That’s West Brom’s goal. This said, it will be a game between teams who really don’t have much to say to the league. They’ll play with freedom, it may even be an entertaining game compared to the usual Pulis.

2-1

LIVERPOOL v TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR

I decided not to share any predictions about Tottenham anymore, I am just too biased 🙂

BURNLEY v CHELSEA

Burnley away is one of the most difficult games the league leaders are gonna face on their path to the title. Burnley are superb at home, but Chelsea are just too much this season. Tight game for sure, but Chelsea to win.

0-1

SWANSEA CITY v LEICESTER CITY

I’ll make sure I’ll watch this one. This is a hell of a 6-pointer! Swansea are in great form, with Paul Clement even winning the award as January’s manager of the month. Ranieri, on the other side, received the backing of the owners this week, but we can’t forget what Schmeichel said after Sunday. Nothing is working at the Champions this year, and they are discovering how N’golo Kante was instrumental in their win last season.

2-1

BOURNEMOUTH v MANCHESTER CITY

Manchester City are finding difficult to convert some of their chances, except for a few games in which they scored 4-5 (poor West Ham). Bournemouth have been terrible in defence recently, with 6 scored by Everton last weekend. Goal fest for me, with Man City easily past the Cherries.

1-4
