Getting better.. got some results right last time, so just need to keep it up..
CHELSEA v ARSENAL
Chelsea are just too good this season – surely they have not been hit by injuries and this is always a plus, but they are just too strong for anyone else. They have shown that White Hart Lane was just a bad day at the office. Can’t see them losing 9 points on 45. They have the chance of cutting Arsenal out of the title race. I think they’ll take it.
CRYSTAL PALACE v SUNDERLAND
Allardyce against his past. The midweek win at Bournemouth (not the easiest of away games) surely will have given a massive boost to the Eagles. I have seen the game Sunderland played against Spurs on Tuesday. They have no plan, except for throw the ball ahead and see what JD can do. Without Defoe, they’d already be in the Championship.
HULL CITY v LIVERPOOL
Hull City seem to have found some form under new boss Marco Silva. They lost at Stamford Bridge, but without being a sparring partner. And they stopped Man United at Old Trafford on Wednesday. Liverpool had a decent game against Chelsea and they have Sadio Mané back. Won’t be an easy game for the Reds, but they should come out on top.
SOUTHAMPTON v WEST HAM
The visitors got hammered (lol) by Man City in midweek, while Southampton were defeated by in-form Swansea. Southampton have a good home form, but West Ham will need to show that midweek was just a bad night.
WATFORD v BURNLEY
Dr Jekyll & Mr Hyde would be the perfect name for Burnley. Superb at home, only 1 point on the road. Being honest though, they did not deserve to lose at Spurs or Arsenal for example. Watford may want to exploit the enthusiasm coming from the great midweek win at the Emirates. Tight game, would not exclude 0-0, but I’ll go for Watford win.
WEST BROMWICH ALBION v STOKE CITY
Two teams who really have nothing to say to the league – both largely safe, both out of Europe. I just think West Brom have an edge at home.
TOTTENHAM v MIDDLESBROUGH
Middlesbrough can’t score and they have still issues with their manager. The environment is quite tense up in Teeside. Not the best results for Spurs at the Stadium of Light, but they should try to exploit the game at Stamford Bridge. I think Spurs will do it.
MANCHESTER CITY v SWANSEA CITY
Swansea are on fire, and currently out of the relegation zone. Who would have thought this a month ago. Manchester City suddenly found strength at the back and they did not concede any goals in the last two games, while scoring 7. Same as for Spurs, they will try to exploit Arsenal playing at Chelsea.
LEICESTER CITY v MANCHESTER UNITED
Man United are unbeaten in the league since October, but this did not translate in anything substantial. Yeah they are closer to the Champions League spots, but still 6th. Leicester are in serious trouble, only two points above the red line. I think Mourinho’s boys will come out victorious.
