LSV Predictor: 23

Well, last time I was not as sharp as I hoped… I have two chances to get it right this week, so let’s crack on with the first one..

ARSENAL v WATFORD

Can you see something different from an Arsenal win? Watford are a poor side in my opinion, they just won’t go down because there are at least three poorer sides than them.

3-0

BOURNEMOUTH v CRYSTAL PALACE

Tough one to call really, Bournemouth are safe but they have not been as sharp recently. Palace really need to hit the ground running under Allardyce if they wanna stay up. 1 point out of the last 15. I think Bournemouth’s home form will prevail.

2-1

BURNLEY v LEICESTER CITY

Probably Ranieri will have Mahrez and Slimani back from their unsuccessful AFCON campaign, but I am not sure this will be enough. They are just a colander at the back, and their away form has been terrible. On the other side, Burnley have collected 25 out of 26 points on home turf (even better than the two Liverpool and the two Manchester teams).

2-0

MIDDLESBROUGH v WEST BROMWICH ALBION

Not the happiest of times at Riverside. Only two points in the last five games, and some unhappy players in the squad. West Brom make it difficult for everyone to play against, and they are not 8th by chance. I would have normally gone for a West Brom win, but Middlesbrough have lost their last home game, and I am sure they will try their hardest not to make it two in a row, although they struggle to score.

1-1

SUNDERLAND v TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR

I don’t understand Sunderland. They just sold their 2nd best player to a direct rival, and there are talks they may sell Defoe, too. Spurs are in form and they rested pretty much all their starting 11 over the weekend. Alderweireld, Kane and Rose have shaken off their minor injuries and they are available. They made it tough for Spurs at the Lane, but I believe Spurs are in a much better form than the start of the season.

0-3

SWANSEA CITY v SOUTHAMPTON

What a win for Swansea last weekend! Took away Liverpool’s unbeaten run at home and gained points where no one expected them to. They’d be safe as of today. It seems Paul Clement is playing his part. Southampton are one of the most inconsistent sides I have seen. They play well and get great results, but they are also able to lose with anyone. I go for a draw.

1-1

LIVERPOOL v CHELSEA

What would you go for? Three home defeats in the last week for the Reds, and not the easiest opponent next. Chelsea have quickly forgotten the lesson taken in North London and started again their march towards the title. I really hope Liverpool get something out of this game to keep the league open, so I hope for a draw although I expect a Chelsea win.

1-1

WEST HAM UNITED v MANCHESTER CITY

Tough game to call as well. Man City come from a great result in the cup at Palace, and not long ago they destroyed the Hammers at home in the FA cup. After the initial hiccups, West Ham have got easily back to the top 10. Andy Carroll is on fire, and I can see him creating some issues to the Man City back line. I see goals in this game.

2-2

MANCHESTER UNITED v HULL CITY

Players may feel fed up of seeing each other, it is the third time they meet in the last two weeks. I would go for the same result as the cup semifinal first leg.

2-0

STOKE CITY v EVERTON

They are both good sides and Stoke are on a good run. Everton are even on a better run. I expect a lively game between the two sides.

2-2
